Best Firefox Tweak For Low Memory Consumption: FasterFox

firefox logo Best Firefox Tweak For Low Memory Consumption: FasterFoxI've been using Firefox for more than 2 years now. The browser addon community and consistent addition of new addons is what amazes me the most. Not only is this the best browser but it is primitively known for consuming too much of RAM memory as well!

One of the reason why the memory consumption increases in Firefox is the integration of addons and to curb down the memory consumption in Firefox i.e, to tweak firefox performance – You have to install an addon (how ironic?) but this does work! Here is the detail..

The addon is Fasterfox although you can find tons of tweaks, but for me, this addon has considerably reduced memory hogging issues from the Firefox browser.

Fasterfox addon has different optimizing levels that can turbo recharge Firefox performance to a greater extent. The pic below shows the various tweaking features:

Result – After implementing Fasterfox, I must admit, there was a significant improvement in Firefox. My Firefox browser was consuming around 800mb and after the implementation of this addon, the consumption level was brought down to 200mb :) which is really cool!

Note that Fasterfox is in experimental stage. But you can still download it (runs smoothly on Firefox 3.5 version)

Download Fasterfox (Check the box and accept the terms to download)

The HTC HD2 with its Excellent Hardware but Archaic Operating System

The HTC HD2 with its Excellent Hardware but Archaic Operating System Cyberduck: Easy FTP for Mac! Best Torrent Uploader And Rippers [Vote] The HTC HD2 with its Excellent Hardware but Archaic Operating System   I could not help myself from being impressed with the HTC HD2. Why? Because the combination of its physical attributes is truly exceptional Almost like a smartphone for $200 and a two-year subscription from T-Mobile. But I was somehow dismayed when I discovered that it has but an obsolete OS, the Windows Mobile 6.5 which cannot be upgraded with the WinMo 7 once it's out. Stunning Design Nevertheless, the minimalist design is really exceptional. Stainless steel, soft black rubber body, very chic appearance though it's a little larger than most smartphones (4.7 x 2.6 x .4 inches). This slightly bigger built is accounted to accommodate the 480 by 800 pixel resolution in its 4.3 inches WVGA screen (responsive but sluggish on the average). Beneat...

Free Antivirus Software for Mac – Review Review: Whole New World of Sony Free Realms MMO Game [Massive-Multiplayer Online] Several friends introduced me to the world of MMO or massive-multiplayer online games. I had no idea that there were a lot of options for in-game purchases for these online games. Some offer monthly subscriptions, pay-per-play, and free-to-play. These MMO games offer a wide array of games from older ones like the ever popular World of Warcraft to new releases like Warhammer Online. But when you look at these games, most of them cater to much older players. This is why Sony created the kid-friendly MMO Free Realms. My Sony Free Realms MMO Review I tried the games for myself. The graphics were rather impressive. I became int...
