Samsung has announced today a very affordable new Samsung i5700 Galaxy Spica Smartphone in India which is powered by Google Android OS and features 3.2-inch Touchscreen display with Accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate.
Armed with 800 MHz Processor the Samsung i5700 Galaxy smartphone, also dubbed as Samung I5700 Galaxy LITE or Galaxy Portal, is powered by Google Android operating system v1.6 dubbed as Cupcake and is Quadband GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz and 3G HSDPA 900/1900/2100 MHz network ready.
Measuring 115 x 57 x 13.2 mm the Samsung i5700 Galaxy Spica smartphone weighs only 124 grams and has a large 3.2 inch, 320 x 480 pixels wide 64K colors capable AMOLED Capacitive touchscreen and is equipped with Accelerometer sensor for auto rotate.
The Samsung i5700 Galaxy Spica phone offers 180-MB of internal memory and offers microSD card slot for upto 32-GB expandable memory. The smartphone offers exhaustive data connectivity options under the sun including GPRS class 12, hi-speed EDGE class 12, ultra-fast 3G HSDPA 3.6 Mbps connection, wireless WiFi 802.11/b/g connectivity option and comes equipped with Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP support.
Available in only full White and Black colors, the new Samsung i5700 Galaxy Spica smartphone comes equipped with a powerful 3.15 megapixel geo-tagging capable camera with digital zoom, 2048 x 1536 pixels resolution, Autofocus option and Carl Zeiss optics along with a built-in LED flash. It also allows video recording in full VGA resolution @ 30 fps or QCIF @ 15 fps.
Other features of this Samsung i5700 Galaxy smartphone includes: Stereo FM radio with RDS, built-in GPS with A-GPS support, Digital compass, integrated media player supporting MP3/e-AAC+/WMA files and video player with support for popular video file formats including WMV, RV, MP4, DivX and mobile standard 3GP files. The powerful battery with this smartphone allows video playing for 6 hours.
