VOLKSWAGEN GROUP STRENGTHENS COMPETITIVE POSITION WORLDWIDE

The Volkswagen Group has strengthened its global market position in the current year. During the first nine months of 2009, Europe's largest automaker grew its share of the world passenger car market to 11.7 (January to September 2008: 10.0) percent.


NEW BODY SHOP FOR AUDI A3

In recognition of Audi's 100th birthday, the company with the four rings will once again invest considerably in its future. Earthwork operations for a key construction project in the northern sector of Audi's Ingolstadt site will begin in late October. More than EUR100 million will be invested in a new body-manufacturing shop for the Audi A3.
