Sony Cyber-Shot DSCHX1

I was looking forward to and heard so much about the much acclaimed Sony DSC-HX1. This camera boasts of advanced features and amazing responses. I was looking for a camera for my birthday, dad's treat. I am not professional photographer, just influenced by dad. He has a history spanning two generations of family photograpy, and 'live' coverage of my brothers band, I would call him a professional. He kept saying there are so many cameras out there you are really spoilt for choice. I wanted a camera HD, packed with new technologies, that can shoot fast under low light with High a Zoom hence the search began.
The Sony Cybershot DSC-HX1 is loaded with advasweep thenced functions. It has a new technology that teams Sweep Panorama, ultra-fast 10fps shooting and HD movie recording. Now you will not miss out any more when capturing a breathtaking wide-screen views of that landscape or city scene. The HX1 shoots a high-speed burst of frames as you camera from side to side (or up and down!), you will get to experience the whole picture. with the wide angle lens you are also able to pack more into every scene, without having to step back. with the Sony HX1 Images are stitched together automatically by the camera to create one amazing panoramic image. With a high powered zoom and a 'Hybrid' HD video function. It has a 20 x optical zoom lens (28-560mm), a 9.1 megapixel Exmor 'CMOS' and an integrated 3.0" 230,000 pixel Tilt-LCD. A lot of my work involves taking shots in low light conditions, hence there was a need for a camera that could work effectively under such conditions.The zoom is image stabilised and with maximum zoom, this provides great sharpness and speed even in low light.
I found the optical zoom lens actually gets one closer your subject, letting one fill more of the frame with distant subjects. In comparison to a digital zoom you will find that what you will get is uncompromised image quality at even higher magnifications, this is an absolute winner feature for me. Also High-speed shooting grabs a continuous burst of images at full resolution. Faster than many professional digital SLR cameras, this I discoverd to my delight whilst shooting my son's basket ball match absolutly fantastic, just freeze the action and much faster than my SLR. The camera also double up as a camcorder it shoots clear HD movie clips at an incredible 30 frames per second for smooth, clear action. you'll be amazed by the quality, detail and colour. I have taken great pictures with this camera.I has proven itself in all photographic situations I needed it for a plus has been the additional tecnological advancemets added on to it. This has definatly been a bonus.
What is different about this camera and why scream that it is such a great camera is i.e things again like the unique Anti Blurr Mode, just by releasing the shutter and sweep the camera with your hand you can take 220 sweeping panorama shots, it can capture up to 100 images and assemble them in the camera absolutley fantastic. Great technological innovation. You get nothing less than total value for the price of this camera. The Overall it has a form of only 114.5 x 82.8 x 91.8mm with a HD movie function (1280x720, 30fps). Any Memory Stick Duo memory cards are fully compatible with the Sony Cybershot DSC-H1.
